March 21 - the beginning of a new year, a new series. time & love: reflections on my mother. She passed away 22 years ago. I am now her age. I miss her.
Hi Michaela, I'm Kit Lang and met you at the museum a few weeks ago. I finally remembered to pop by your blog only to read this. I'm sorry for your loss - my mother passed away last week so my grief is fresh.
Hi Kit, I certainly remember you and am so pleased to have met you. I'm very sorry to hear about your mother. My sincere condolences and prayers are with you. Memories are a consolation, I think, which is why I'm spending some time this year in reflection on my mom. As I sew lots of Xs and Os (hugs and kisses), I plan to think deeply about her - her life, our relationship, etc.
I stopped by your website - what lovely work, and such thoughtful commentary. "Sometimes when artists create something – even something as whimsical as a flying bunny in a fantastical fairy-tale looking world – there is actually some rather serious thinking going on behind it." I couldn't agree more.
